However, I believe the flag rule is that the field of stars leads and that is why it’s reversed on the right arm. Also, when hanging the flag vertically, the field is to be to the left. I don’t know for sure though, because I burned all my American flags a few years back, however, I retain a State of Jefferson and Gadsden flag.
