The Killing of a Govt official/ Public servant is a shameful act and his 'Honorable' suicide immediately absolved his Family.

The real Samurai had no problem committing shameful acts. Study history. They would kill peasants for fun.

There was very little honorable in the personalities of most Samuri. They did institute a code of honor between Samuri just so these shit heads wouldn't end up offending each other over something very small and and up going to war with each other and devolve Japan back into independent warlords.

That's why sepeku was important. If there was a matter of offense it would be better if either the offended or offender just died rather than leave a permenent conflict that could drag in more people, and the offender just makes more sense. Maybe Israel and Gaza should just commit suicide.

Exactly, but You forget He wasn't a real samurai tho - he followed his code of honor, as it also carried over into Japanese society with regards to Govt officials/ elected representatives.
It was under auspices of Family honor that Yamaguchi self deleted/ sepeku himself to redeem himself and his family name.
We can all dissemble his actions one way or another - but his motivations for doing so were clear in his suicide note, as he believed that the actual act of killing an elected official was 'shameful' and did not want to bring disrespect to his Parents.
