I'll add that some service people like plumbers and electricians can get tips though it's not expected. If they do a good job quickly and come on time, etc they should get a tip

Garbage men and postal workers get Christmas and year end bonuses in many cases because it's a tough job and they can make your lives much easier. It's more of a thank you

But no one working a register gets a tip.

I would never go to Sonic because the food is garbage. I have been a waiter at a couple restaurants and managers stealing from serving staff is basically expected. I never got my full tips so one day I just walked out at the beginning of a busy shift. Restaurant managers say they have to exploit and rip off servers to compete against other restaurants and that may be true but I don't give a fuck. It's better if they go out of business.

It's a high stress job so I almost got into fights with two different kitchen workers- one a spic cook half my size and another shorty that thought it wouldn't get physical until I got into his face and he backed down like a pussy.
