I brought up that Psychiatry is bullshit and used to medicate and control the population. He agreed completely. We also had similar thoughts on Covid (he didn’t vax), Doctors and how alcohol and recreational drugs are being normalized to ruin people.
He said that Hitler’s camps weren’t all death camps by design and that while there were incinerators in 3 or 4 camps on the Eastern Front (his words), that Jews in camps mostly died due to starvation. I concurred somewhat with that and reminded him of “Work Will Make You Free” at Auschwitz but he started getting uncomfortable. I also said that for 6 Million to have been incinerated, the whole of Europe would have had to have had more ovens than a giant Pizza Hut chain.
He revealed that he went to Queens College and was an Accounting major. He looked to be 8-10 years older than me. He said that the Italians were the most brilliant forensic accountants in history.
When I brought up Freud being the father of modern Psychiatry, he brought up Thomas Szasz and implored me to look into him.
