Yeah, it's familiar. I think, like many things it is blown out of proportion.

The internet is a dim place compared to what it once was. Everyone was doing shit on the internet, building, sharing, etc. Now days most just consume, and the place has lost its previous charm because of it.

Yep, the best example that I've seen of it was during "covid". If you googled any number, within reason, + cases, + a place, you would get multiple articles about how that place had exactly that many covid cases.
So 153 cases Washington would return articles about how there are 153 covid cases in Washington. They removed the bots, or changed how they worked, so the above no longer works, but during the time it was the most clear argument for the dead internet theory and how the internet is functionally just the new TV.

I thought the dead Internet theory is that there is nowhere to go to openly and freely discuss things?

I always loved that about the internet. I was a part of forums that were my people. Now it's all consolidated and a traffic system.

Obviously there are chat bots all over the internet. Dead internet theory is something far more than just kike manipulation via propaganda.

Think about it like this: if you have a white country and you get a few africans nothing really changes. Sure there is higher crime and more garbage in the streets, but your neighbirhood is safe and your factory still makes widgets and your economy is strong. The bad influence only converts the dumbest white kids into wiggers and they were never destined to be anything.

When the percentage of blacks reaches some critical mass things take a swift transformative shift. You are no longer allowed to insulate yourself from the negative effects they cause. Your job is forced to hire them and productivity goes way down. Machinery fails because of abuse and poor maintenance. High amounts of human error cause chain reactions which no one gets blamed for. The laziness and unreliability rubs off even on the best workers, who feel stupid working harder for no benefit and get mocked for "never calling off and being a company man".

That happens everywhere. Infrastructure degrades, social order degrades, services degrade. And conflict becomes a staple of life.

That is only stage 2.

The rapid decent into 3rd world conditions may seem like rock bottom until you experience the unthinkable culmination of this orchestrated phenomenon.

In stage 3 you find yourself the last white man surrounded by niggers who absolutely hate your guts. Like a lone white kid in an all black school you get beaten every day. Your survival relies on you accepting every insult, complying with ever demand, and repeating all the propaganda.

That is dead internet theory. Stage 3. Everyone you interact with on the internet is a bot designed to shape who you are. Even the bots who appear to be white or the most extreme far right are just playing a role designed to get you to trust them so they can manipulate you better, or to say things so repulsive they push you in the opposite direction.

Places like this have a few propagandists. Places like reddit are at stage 2. All the subs that tried to protect themselves have been purged. People get sandboxed, meaning thier comments are not seen by anyone but to them everything looks normal. It is dystopian, but those people still can interact with reality on other websites.

Dead internet only happens when you lose contact with any real, intelligent people.

That is (((thier))) goal, and it is becoming increasingly possible

Idk about this particular theory, but one thing that bothered me after I discovered it is that the internet is a very different place depending on what part of the world you're connecting from. You can try out different VPNs to see what I mean.

They have somehow managed to trap us all in little information bubbles yet again. I mean it kind of made sense when you were relying on newspapers for info; you had to have an actual physical copy of it. It doesn't make any sense for the internet to be that way though, and it's a relatively recent change too.

I remember having and witnessing the exact same arguments on ICQ over twenty years ago as I see here on voat. On the one hand, you might think that disproves the dead internet theory, because it hasn't changed much from how it was when it was alive. On the other hand, it might be precisely what proves the theory, because the internet is so dead, it has to rehash fucking ICQ from twenty years ago.

People on the internet still behave like humans. I guess if the bots are super-convincing: illogical and stupid there's no way to know. Who cares if they're NPCs or supercomputers?
