Should I go to a local college to get a deep cleaning? I hear they charge cheap but letting inexperienced hands touch my teeth or a shit and awful but experienced dentist are my only options unless I pay out of pocket

They should do a good job. If you are worried about them fucking up, make sure you sign up for someone taking their final exam, not just a rookie that needs to practice. I did it once and it was fine

It sucked but it's nothing you shouldn't be able to handle unless you have a bigger issue. Your gums will bleed, your mouth will be sore, you live through it

My wife went to a local college for a deep cleaning several years ago. They did a great job. The actual "cleaner" was fully supervised and coached the whole time, and they had already been through most of their schooling.
Just make sure you don't get the diversity student.

Nothing unexpected. She said it was sore for a week or so, but not too bad.
You should stop by and just ask questions, but really keep your eye out for who is doing the work. Ask if you could request a specific person, then review the names for non- diversity.
