I'm fine with auto turrets that detect human movement and shoot.

The human resources at tye border should go into using ground penetrating radar to detect tunnels, tunnels should be sealed by foam and filled with gas poison gas.

I'm in favor of using a trebuchet to send them home. It doesn't require the use of fossil fuel to run and it's reusable. If Mexico doesn't want to catch them that's on them.

It doesn't matter what you do, the gubmint has more resources than you. They are already flying them here. Next will be cruise ships.

Autonomous grenade-mines, with little feet, like wind-up toys, that sit quietly until someone wanders into their activation zone. Once activated the grenade starts running towards the target on it's little feet, all the while shouting:
