When the Constitution was written there was a high probability that many who were capable of the position of President of the United States, men of education, money, power and patriotism, would not be qualified as Natural Born Citizens because like many of those in America, they were immigrants.

Hence the "or a Citizen of the United States" AND the "and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." This was a one time exemption to the rule of Natural Born Citizen.

It's kind of hard(read wrong) to ask a man to fight for a new country when you exclude him from being eligible.

Don't EVER let Ted Cruz or Barrack Obama tell you otherwise although they have both tried. This is indisputable.

* McCain only passed the smell test because he was born on base. Sovereign US Territory. Not to be confused with US Territories like PR or Guam.

I'd like to see all of their flight logs and how much they actually spend time in this country since they are only in office like 30 days out of the year.
