I watch a lot of police response videos and probabky about half of the 911 Operators piss me off. I mean abso-fucking-lutely infuriate me. They have to stop hiring niggers and women for these jobs. I mean, hire them, but get rid of the shit ones. The Black dude who was the 911 Operator for the two shot cops a couple of years back in Chicaho was a fucking rock star, but most of them—particularly the women do not fucking listen to what the callers are clearly saying and it is fucking infuriating. Precious time is being lost because these fucking CUNTS do not possess the single-most important skill for their job description: LISTENING. How many times have I heard people in mortal danger have to repeat themselves 2…3…even 4 times?

Moved into the mountains in the summer and there was smoke visible in the fielde b ehind my property. No cell phone service. What to do? I drove into town and was told the 911 operators were inside a door a building away. Went there and the door was ajar. Opened it wide and - there were 2 operators and one cop. Startled faces at me opening the door. Cop hops up and pulls out his gun. Put my hands up and said that I had a fire behind my house. Gave address and they told me that the fire department had been out there a month earlier. I went home and the volunteer fire department (all seniors) showed up, found the fire and tamped itall out, mountain style.
My only emergency call ever. Just moved to an all white county in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Except for the poore cell phone service up there, everything went as well as one might expect.
They've got a set of question cards that act as a flowchart when getting a call. They're basically following a script per call, not being a human.
There is a LOT of employee turnover. Crazy amounts. There are two 12 hour shifts and you're hearing emotionally distraught people calling all that time. We'll just say that I work 911 adjacent, and I've seen plenty of people quit on their first day.
Due to the turnover rate, they end up hiring a lot of complete retards.
There is a LOT of noise in that room. There's other calls going, CAD alerts going, etc, dispatchers on radios, they've got police and fire radios going.

I've listened to a fair few too, I always get infuriated that they don't want to waste a second saying "The ambulance is already on its way, now can you please tell me..." but would rather waste minutes repeating a question a hundred times while the caller ignores it everytime instead begging the 911 operator to send help.
Ive called them. They ask questions that will eventually become pertinent but are absolutely NOT pertinent to the emergency. Its like being on tech support with an indian.

It's quite a stressful job. No way I could do it.
