I hate it when people say America is a third world country now. The literal definition of a 1st world country is America and its allies.

It's a political designation that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the USA. 1st world meant democratic/free market. 2nd world meant communist. 3rd world meant other. So look at the current state of US government and tell me what you see.
