Terrorist threats variously alarm and interest them (terrorist threats done with the scent of the actionable or plausible - such as my Project Nero plan - are also defined as terrorism by terrorism professionals and scholars for those still idiotic enough to call this all of no account and LARPing). Them being both the US and foreign adversarial governmeents. If you're in good health, have few attachments, and are anything like me in terms of ideology and behavioral traits you may be 'used'.
