A scam like any other green technology

Yep, politicians allocating money to projects adjacent to their own pockets.

"Let's use an ac condensor the wrong way"

Its exactly like using a refrigerator for heat by having the doors opened to the outside

yeah, outside unit has a noisy fan, that's number one no-no for me.

Heat pump works efficiently to heat water up to 40 celsius = 104F, which is waaay to cold for radiator heaters in winter, should be double that temperature... so ppl install floor heating to get bigger heating surface. But floor heating is good only for bathroom or maybe some hallway (if), otherwise is super unhealthy.

So no thanks, here only retards did this, and with govt subvention money of course. I'm still heating my house with natural gas, and was the best thing I did - that I decided not to change anything, probably saved me some kilo euros for now.
Also, electricity is now more expensive than natural gas too.

What makes in-floor heating "unhealthy"?

Heating entire home floor to 104f would be rather warm/hot, no?

I feel like I'm missing something

I think in English is called "vertical temperature gradient" if you check it...

well, normally ground is cooler than air above, and your body is adapted to this gradient with your whole body circulation, and specially venous system in legs can't function properly if you constantly have heat coming from the floor... it's common sense tbh that it's unnatural, but now is usually pretty hidden info, for not to spoil a good business they have with this.

The other big problem is that heating floors will constantly lift up everything what should stay down normally, any particles of dust, germs, etc, for you to breath it.

I guess it's bearable to have floors heated where you are not staying for a longer time, but I'd not want to have it in bedrooms or kitchen for sure, and damn sure not anywhere near smaller children.

I have only seen in floor heat run at very mild temperatures (in concrete/under tile usually). Maybe the idea is to heat the concrete slab up to a stable ~70f. I saw a guy turn his up to the maximum and in a few days it was sickeningly hot below your knees. Took forever for the slab to cool down.

Edit: there are colder part of the US....

How about mini splits? Hitachi makes a good one from what I've heard.
Each room gets an air handler..

lol, are you serious :)

Well if you have a link, you can post it, I'll check... why not to know, I'm actually checking often if anything is new. Now they try some solar panels which are efficient in low light, so maybe in some decades things will work better... but for now, I didn't see anything efficient to replace already great working hot water radiator heating systems we have.

Translation= they use way too much electricity and will freeze you to death in the winter.

No, you dumb faggot that is simply a ground-source heat pump. For that matter, your air conditioner and refrigerator are also heat pumps, it is simply a convention to only call heat pumps with a reversing valve intended for central HVAC use "heat pumps" while using other terms for other types of heat pump.

I installed a Mr. Cool Universal (rebadged Chinese make) heat pump this summer at a rental. Tech specs claim 100% output down to -5F. When I checked on it the other morning after we've been below freezing for a week and got down to -2F that night I found the girls I rent to had the thermostat at 71. And the fucking thing was having no problem holding that temp. This is without "aux" heat (heat strips) and I know this because I didn't even install any. Heat pumps are magic, don't let some dumb limey tell you otherwise.

They are really temperamental though. It heavily depends on the area, type, size, weather, installation methods, etc.

The recommendation in the video is for gas but with the warning that it is such an obvious choice that the politicians will obviously attempt to pile taxes and tariffs on gas in an attempt to ‘level the playing-field’.
