The problem is firstly landing using reverse boosters and then secondly propulsing off of the moon at the exact moment needed to head straight back to earth.
You can't direct or steer in space there is no capable propulsion against empty space. We can't go to the moon and back.

I still have my doubts we went to the moon. That being said, the US MILITARY and NASA were both working on the problem and got way more than official budget numbers. Once we succeeded (even though the Russians had and still to this day have better heavy lifters), it was decided that niggers and welfare parasites were more important than colonizing space. Add those two kikes in Congress that gutted NASA and got us stuck on that shitty space shuttle for 30 years you, with a sprinkle of affirmative action and DIE you have a recipe for total failure.

The space shuttle was brilliant. The problem was that all the money that was saved by reusing the engines was subsequently stolen by the corrupt agency. Instead of flying more missions for the same cost, they inflated the cost of maintenance and pocketed the difference.
