Interesting. My family got it's start in brewing beer here too. It's not Miller, but you'd recognize the name. Prussia isn't a place anymore, so we just say we're German.
I’ve drank Leinenkugel while in Wisconsin, where it’s from. Used to drink the shit out of Schaefer when it was $2.99 a twelve pack as a kid, too young to drink. And of course PBR. And my Miller was on the list, of course.
It was before the large breweries turned their beer into yellow pisswater. All of the original breweries in the US were of german origin. Think of the names and it will make sense. Schaffer, Schlitz, etc. I can’t think of any more, I’m drunk and tired. We have family heirlooms from his days at Miller. Decorative glass wear, a pewter pitcher with his initials, gifted upon retirement, and some other trinkets. The glass wear consists of colored glass stemware, each a different color and very ornate. They were given to the wives of executives at corporate functions. Remind me to find a pic for you. I’m out.
We took a school trip to NYC when I was in 8th grade. Back the you could still tour the statue of Liberty. We were in line, about half way up the stairs, when the whole crowd (tons of school kids) started shouting "tastes great, less filling". They kicked everyone out and shut down for the rest of the day.
Null poll. I don't drink that swill. Hell, I hardly ever drink beer at all, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis Belgian Ales or Abbey Beers. Too bad InBev Europe bought out one of my favorite go-tos: Leffe.
New Belgium (a US company) makes a pretty damned good Tripel with a high ABV, that you can't taste.

One of the other users claimed to have trouble creating a poll last night, and asked that someone confirm if it was a system issue (see what I did there), I went to create a poll, and this was the first thing that popped into my head.
You know, I was thinking earlier today, that I remember your original Icemonkey user name from pretty much when I started on VOAT. What I find weird, is that, I don't think we ever had a conversation prior to me leaving VOAT. Only recently have we started talking. so weird that our paths didn't cross sooner.
I burned out on craft beers some time ago. If they would make some malty ales, I’d be all in. Seems like all there is, is overhopped crap these days. Hops are cheap flavoring. Good beer requires proper barley roasting and if that is done correctly, little hops are necessary. I find myself indulging in German beers , the expensive ones, like Fruh. I am always in search of English bitters, much to my dismay. Just my personal preference.

Yeah, I get that, I look at it from the angle that when I was a kid my old man was limited ONLY to American store-bought beer. Craft beer didn't exist. I'm lucky enough to be able to take a 15 minute ride and I have a really good selection of small-batch beers. I'm currently on a Stout kick, every once and a while I try something different. I not that well versed on Craft beers in general, I pretty much like what I like, and I tend to stay loyal to what I find interesting.
My first sip of beer was around 6-7 years old. My dad drank Coors back then and they had introduced a new pop top can. It had two buttons you pushed in. One to drink from and the other an air vent. Look them up. They were limited for about six months. Came in around the time they did away with peel tops.

WOW! Same here. first sips at 7, Started really drinking beer at 14, in the bars steadily by 17. That was back when a 17 year old could do that. Of course it was a blue collar bar. As long as you didn't make an ass of your self, and were around older guys, they'd fill the glass for you.
If there are any small businesses here who don't obey California laws and support the state with income taxes, I don't know of them. I'm a little hypocritical/practical on spending for food and beer, but everything else online if possible.
I knew a guy that had 3 daughters. He would always ask the youngest one if she was still a virgin, and she always told him, yes. She never let anyone screw her pussy. Anybody and everybody that wanted to could pound her asshole or mouth any time they wanted. They just couldn't have the vagina. Even niggers was hitting it.
Not really wanting to ruin your day. Just sharing a story.
