Maybe this is obvious to everyone else now and I'm late to the party, but this is my thinking:

- A conglomerate of "good" aliens see us destroying ourselves and know WW3 will destroy a perfectly good planet. They don't care too much about us, but they do like this planet.
- For reasons not fully understood by us, they are not able to work in open. Maybe because they fear their influence will be corrupted by others.
- They are feeding Elon tech at a rate to make it not-so-obvious he is working with advanced tech, but pushing humanity forward.
- SpaceX, SolarCity, Tesla, BoringCo, Neuralink, OpenAI, Twitter, etc. Each with new tech and a unique roll to play in the future of humanity.
- Note the lack of ownership of military industrial companies, lack of ownership of "shipping plastic shit around the world" companies, etc. There are PLENTY of better options for making lots of $$. (If ones only goal is to make $$ then there are lower risk ways of doing exactly that.)

Further, I'd postulate that:
- The "good" aliens know that that "bad" aliens have infiltrated the world governments under the guise of the khazarian mafia.
- These corrupted governments will corrupt anything they touch.
- There is a war between the extraterrestrials and their human minions.
- The "good" aliens can't afford an all out war as the planet would be destroyed (which is exactly what they wish to protect), so they are stuck with small influences and trusting their human pawn Elon.


My bet: within the next 15 years, Elon starts a cold-fusion or other high energy company.
