I just deleted 17 Terabytes of porn.

I was in the middle of writing out my life story as to what led me to this point and it was getting pretty long and detailed but I deleted it because I thought it's not relevant. I have been pushing myself whenever I could for most of my life and I was always against taking the easy route. It has only been recently where I have fallen and have been working towards climbing back up. Current material conditions have gotten worse where I live and it has made me realize that so long as you have security in terms of not freezing to death and having a healthy diet everything else is a blessing. You should be spending your money on growing your tools/skillet and improving the security/sphere of influence of the people around you.

Beware of anything "fun" like alcohol, drugs, porn, video games as they are just tools for others to take advantage of your time and energy towards their own well being. There are some educational videos games that can make people more engaged/think critically with the material/content they involve themselves with and I will place these as an exception. However, they're dangerous gateways because it can encourage kids/adolescents to engage in mindless button mashing and uncritical reception of mindless visuals in other basal video games. Oh, there's also the fact that these virtual worlds run on very real hardware in the real world that they surround themselves with.

Anyways, I've made a lot of changes in the past 13 months and deleting all this porn is just another step forward.

I'm done with this shit.

I can't measure my testosterone directly but I can tell you I think it's the opposite. I have made other lifestyle changes that have greatly increased my energy/health. I am trying to channel that into something productive.

I have two hard drives in my computer. One 4 TB drive I bought years ago and a 20 TB drive I bought a few months ago. Across both drives I had somewhere between 15 to 18 terabytes of pornography. I didn't check before deleting the exact amount but 17 feels about right.

My hard drives still had approximately 3 TB of empty space before I deleted everything. 24 TB of hard drive space is an insane amount of storage. If you're using it for personal entertainment and not for data processing/storage at an enterprise level then you will never run out. I only downloaded everything of interest that I found on the private torrent tracker as there was an incentive to upload to improve your ratio. I have more than a gigabit upload speed so my connection was pretty much never saturated as the health of most torrents was very good. The incentive to have more stuff on your hard drive is that more data will be uploaded from your PC as you have more files that people want. I know that I was never going to watch all that content because 17 TiB of video at 5 Mbps is about 20 years of porn if you're watching for one hour every day.
