I slept through this one and missed it...

If I stop posting on upgoat one day it's because I'm buried under a pile of rubble somewhere.

Would that be from an earthquake, or niggers destroying everything? Not sure which is more destructive.

Even in that case, be sure that you always have something in hand to continue posting

Lol. I'll try to have my phone clutched in my hand while being buried alive.

You'd want to stay away from unreinforced brick buildings. Those old buildings tend to collapse once you hit around 7 or so. If you have a strong one, you'll know by the piles of bricks on rooftops where chimneys used to be.

"If you have a strong one, you'll know...". Optimistic fellow.

These earthquakes we're getting every three months or so seem to happen in the middle of the night. Their regularity is giving me the jeebies.

Let me add some heebies to your jeebies. It's when the earthquakes aren't regular you have to worry. Without regular small releases the pressure builds until the resulting earthquake can be much greater.

“The one probably nearest to Melbourne that most people are aware of is the Selwyn fault that runs along the Mornington Peninsula. That's one that is potentially large enough to host a [magnitude] seven-ish earthquake,” Pascale said. “Another [large] fault starts near Apollo Bay and reaches up through Geelong.”

I was going to say you probably don't have much to worry about until I searched for 'earthquake faults near melbourne'. Yeah, those smaller quakes are likely adding pressure to the bigger stuck faults. Same here in California.

California has had 17 earthquakes in the past 24 hours, and 7,263 in the past 365 days. https://earthquaketrack.com/p/united-states/california/recent
