I have pictures of hundreds of pallets of cardboard and plastic sitting at our local landfill waiting to be pushed into a very large garbage hole.
I took the pics myself.
I show them to people who need to see to believe they have been lied to for decades.

Paper recycling is also dumb and only really incurs extra travel and industrial processes, whereas the fresh paper industry grows trees like a crop.

Pitching digital documents as more environmental is yet another inversion of reality; way to replace tree-planting with power usage.

Most cities with recycling programs send out a single truck to grab both bins where it all gets mixed. If they so have two trucks then it gets mixed at the dump.
