100% False

Cancer (abnormal cell growth due to genetic mutation) is present throughout the evolution of all Primates. And there are theories that claim cancer is part of the evolutionary process.

Yours was published 21 years after mine.

You COULD have also posted THIS from your link though:

"The discovery—which has just been published in the South African Journal of Science—suggests that, while modern lifestyles have increased the incidences of cancer, especially in industrialized countries, the triggers for the disease are embedded deep within the human evolutionary past."

Get that? "Modern lifestyles"? The bullshit lifestyle, courtesy of our bullshit society. Bourgeois society.

I just keep pissing facts into your face.

Oh I have no doubt that modern shit causes more cancers, and people are living long enough to get cancer now, when in ancient times they likely died before getting it. If you live long enough, I feel like you're almost guaranteed to get cancer at some point. But come on man, that headline is pretty stupid.

"That’s where you fooled yourselves. You have not only altered, declawed and malformed your winged and four-legged cousins; you have done it to yourselves. You have changed men into chairmen of boards, into office workers, into time-clock punchers. You have changed women into housewives, truly fearful creatures. I was once invited into the home of such a one."

Probably not the most popular thing to say - but Betty Friedan had a point I think. Being a housewife is kinda boring. At this point who can afford to raise kids in this bullshit society anyway?

"Civilization, technology, and a divided social order are the components of an indissoluble whole, a death-trip that is fundamentally hostile to qualitative difference. Our answer must be qualitative, not the quantitative, more-of-the-same palliatives that actually reinforce what we must end."

Does it suck to have your bullshit claim trounced upon by the truth?

I spent less than 5 minutes finding proof to call out your bullshit.

I posted a quote. The stuff from your own link - that you conveniently didn't post - effectively made the OP point anyway. Mass cancer is a byproduct of bullshit society.

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 1 point 2 monthsFeb 26, 2024 16:31:57 ago (+1/-0)

100% False.

Your quote claimed "Cancer didn't exist until Civilization."

I posted 3 sources proving cancer existed at least 210 MILLION years ago, and most likely can be traced back to the first single celled creatures on Earth.

Evolutionary Theory is in fact based upon "Cancer" driving the evolutionary model. Some genetic mistakes were beneficial, while others were detrimental to the success of all cellular life.

Yeah, my quote was 'false'. Then your own goddamn link, officer, verified the crux of it by ascribing cancer as a mass phenomenon to modern lifestyles. In other words the quote, while strictly wrong, is essentially kinda right.

So if I'm saying this R-E-A-L S-L-O-W - your point, such as it is, has hilariously backfired.

False.

We have limited amount of cancer samples-set confirmed via the fossilized record -vs- today's literal BILLIONS of samples from living animals. There is no way an educated person could even begin to claim that cancer was ultra-rare 260 Million years ago.

Your ignorance is on full display, as well as your complete bias.
