California has the greatest climate diversity of any state, but the coast has the smallest temperature range in the US. (average 46 to 76) So you can pretty much choose the weather experience you'd like to have. If you like Texas, California has a death valley for you. The Sierras do a passable Ohio.

The only climate I’m interested in for California is 100% humidity in the form of sea water 7000+ feet deep.
