Barring death or prison that is likely. Should have it put on the ground with 12-35 people in 12-24 months. My question is how many of those will be from HERE. My expectation is for this to be overwhelmingly gleaned from offline face to face encounters. It's also unclear how active I'm going to be here between now and then.

Zero, I suspect. I certainly have no interest in such a thing. Are you just planning on squatting on public land or something? The tree line goes up to anywhere from 10,000 to 12,000 feet and the closer to that the less likely your commune/cult is to be discovered. Except, winter at those elevations is downright brutal. Not to mention the risk of avalanches and the ridiculous snowpack that will lock you down all winter. People would likely die without extreme care and precautions and even then it would be dicey as hell.

You're probably better off trying to take over slab city or something similar. You should finish writing that book before you try what you are talking about or you might not get the chance. I expect it would be an interesting read.
