In lands where the harsh winter season exists, you need to stay in one place and produce your food where you are, then store it for the wintry seasons.

And you need to stay with your mate and raise your kids to survive, because they have to do as you had done in order for themselves to survive.

You also need assistance for all this, as much as you can get, cooperation is key for survival and so being socially rejected from your group is death to both you and your family. This means being pro-social in your conduct, or at the very least refraining from any activity that is anti-social in nature.

So whites evolved to maximize these behavioral characteristics. Characteristics that were uniquely selected for within their environments.

These traits were necessary in the north, but in the south they were just a bonus, so when the white man had eventually headed south, we had a massive edge over those who lived there.

We became like an invasive species, absolutely dominating even without trying to, precisely because we were just that much better.

So history brands us as villains because of how much more successful we were at doing what everybody had been trying to do - taking over the world for ourselves and our progeny, and maintaining that dominance.

The story of Americans in America could be the tale of how a group of refugees arrives and endured the attacks of xenophobic natives, or it could be a tale of how we invaded the lands of a foreign people and subjugated them.

Either perspective is equally viable, both groups could be the victims, and both could be the perpetrators of the other's victimization.

As things had turned out, our culture only regards the latter as being true.
