That is one thing that absolutely pisses me off about here…. Having to pay to shoot at a range.
There’s no place within 40 miles of st Pete to go and shoot into the hillside- etc…unless you know some people .. but with all the new developments in manatee, eastern Hillsboro, hernando, Polk, Pasco…. WTF….

Almost better to go offshore and shoot floaters….

You don't have to pay to go to the range. There's several state ranges that are absolutely free to use. I know for a fact there's one in the Ocala national Forest and one in Lake city, but there's definitely more.

I did not know this. That is what I was used to when I lived up north back in high school. Either the state range, or on one of my friend’s land….
All there is around me are private indoor and outdoor rifle/pistol/skeet ranges …
I’ll look into the one in Lake city. I always spend the entire week + up in live oak for roots so we can do an ichnetucknee day and a canoeing day on the Suwanee…

I have seen pantera probably 25 times, mostly when they were touring with white zombie.
They would do incognito shows at bogarts when in Dayton. Maybe 50-100 people. Fun shit- from what I remember…

When Pantera broke up that was basically the end of metal. There were decent bands after but none compare to the greats. I like Power Trip and a few other recent bands but they’re a serious step down from 80s/90s metal. Judiciary, Gatecreeper and Iron Reagan/Municipal Waste are solid but they can’t compare.

I miss White Zombie. Not really a fan of Rob’s solo albums which were too pop cartoonish satire for me.
