The Welsh probably descend from the army of Brutus, the first settlers of Britain. Brutus and his men fought and killed the giants to take the land. Britain is supposedly named after Brutus. This is long before the Roman invasion, the Angles Saxons and Jutes too.
Not at all, I have discovered my family tree has roots in Wales, and I'm trying to ascertain what the view is on my newfound heritage.
I've never really considered Welsh people until now, and I'm trying to get a feel for their street rep among a geographically broad sampling of my peers.
I, myself (sans new bias), would tick the "meh" option since I know they're White and Celtic... but I don't know much more than that about Welsh people in general.
Welsh are the oldest bloodline in the UK. They've been there since long before any Norse or Anglos or Saxons showed up.
Any modern shit-talking of the Welsh is intended to deride and diminish that fact.
The Welsh are one of the smallest White ethnic groups on the planet and you don't have to place them above or below any others, but you should want to protect their existence and the future of their children.
