Interviewing people again. Didn’t hire the hair farmer from a few weeks ago, already have one dysfunctional child employee we’re working on.

We’re taking applicants from indeed and so far we’ve had a few decent responses. However, first appointment this morning was a no-show. Second one was good. She hit a lot of correct notes, however, she has kids at home and we’re not sure she can actually commit to every Saturday like she claimed. You know, kids have all this shit they demand from their parents these days. Another one called in for a first phone chat and she lives way to far away to make it feasible, besides, she mentioned she lives with her divorced from husband because they still own the house together. Who says that out the gate in a five minute phone convo? Then, without even knowing about our ad online, a nice young lady emailed us via the website and said she drives by our place everyday on her way to classes at the college and had looked us up and wants to come in to see if she could possibly work here. I look her up on LinkedIn and she has “she/her” crap in her whatever it is.
Ugh.

Don't write her off immediately because of the she/her bullshit. She may feel she needs to do that in today's wokearama to even be considered for a job. This coming from someone who hasn't hired anyone in a few years so take it with a grain of salt.

OP complains about someone being honest and upfront about a strange situation "out the gate," then has a problem with someone playing the hiring game of using faggot pronouns.

While I will not reduce my integrity to using pronouns, I did lower it by creating a LinkedIn account during my last job search because so many were asking for one.

Outside of serving me tea on demand or snacks/sandwiches for meetings, or just to look good and do nothing, I wouldn't hire a women. Even then, women's work areas would be separate from the men's.

I receive work emails with that she/her and they/them shit. I believe in some workplaces it's a policy - certainly if you live in a libshit city.
