Plants don't make vitamin B12. The only foods that deliver it are meat, eggs, poultry, dairy products, and other foods from animals. Everybody needs magnesium. I can't find the study at the moment, but there was an independent research project that had determined magnesium out performed every antidepressant medication on the market and found that damn near everyone is deficient in magnesium
The dairy and cheese sold in supermarkets today is not cow milk and cheese. It's a processed cow like juice and cheese is a processed plastic product. Don't eat any of the above unless you know the source. OP is right but the source matters too.

For instance, vegans are shown to be quantitatively more prone to mental illness in research over and over again, even if they were taking b12 supplements. Sure, it’s a plethora of nutrients they are missing but b12 is the one of the few things you can only get from animal sources.
