Business in NYC is declining hard, but clearly not without some semblance of a fight. The new owners are apparently renovating the place to convert it into housing, trying to see if they can make a go with the property as a condo. Which usually means social welfare tenants are on the horizon.

I can't imagine being a mason in nyc, having to haul all your tools and gear on the subway only to have to lug it 2-3 blocks.

Any job in nyc really. I can't think of one upside to working there. The commute from someplace affordable and non nigger, the congestion, the costs, the people, parking etc etc.
