The TL;DW is that strippers earning less = tightening budgets = less disposable income. An interesting and unorthodox economic indicator.

This is simply not true Karine Jean-Pierre assures me we are in the strongest economy yet.

And Nancy "Pour Me Another" Pelosi says Joe Biden's "job creation" (i.e. people returning from covid) is the highest EVAR!

At my job sales volume has cratered by about 50%.

I'd guess that strippers are some of the most discretionary spending. If money is tight you can cut back on that with little ill effect.

Fast food will be considered fine dining soon

It damn near costs the same.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 3 points 1 weekMay 8, 2024 21:33:35 ago (+3/-0)

This is nothing new. They did the same thing back in 2008 when the housing market fell through and all the strippers were broke.

[ - ] NeedleStack 11 points 1 weekMay 8, 2024 21:45:12 ago (+11/-0)

True but this is new info for a lot of guys here who were barely out of middle school in 2008. :)

Yea this is common knowledge. Back in the day my buddy called it the hot girl trend. When you see attractive women working regular jobs like food server or coffee barista you know the economy is in the shitter.

this time will be worse. No soft landing, it will be a reset.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 0 points 1 weekMay 9, 2024 13:17:18 ago (+0/-0)

I wouldn't consider 2008 a "soft landing". Not even close. I know of zero people or anybody shown off in the new who lost their homes, businesses, etc getting a TARP payment. I do seem to remember a lot of dirty fucking jews and Bathhouse Barry signed executive orders making TARP payouts secret.

Well my index precicts it will crash as well. I bought a house to flip 2 months ago... so the interest rates will keep going up and the housing market will crash. Mark my words that's how lucky I am.

Correlates to the "Hooker Index".

"The worse the economy is, the better looking the hookers get":

Because all the little college-aged cutey-pies hitting the job market, that would have been getting make-work jobs as receptionists or bank tellers in a good economy suddenly find themselves with nothing else that the market is still willing to buy.

So what's a good investment for the coming collapse?

[ - ] SilentByAssociation [op] 8 points 1 weekMay 8, 2024 22:38:46 ago (+8/-0)

Pemmican reserves and bushcraft tools + knowledge. That's what you'll want in a grid-down type of collapse.

Otherwise, there are plenty of physical goods you could stock up on, at your discretion.

20 month ago i bought 250 grams of gold for 14400 euro, unofficial inflation nr was 17%. Sold a week ago for 16400 euros. Not counting the 2% profit when buying or selling for the gold trader

Liquor tends to hold it's value and is always in demand. I have read several accounts of economic collapse, one was in Bosnia during the war. He said medications, booze, food stuffs were currency. He had to live in a fenced, fortified enclave with his immediate family to protect what they had from roving maurauders. It's not just what you can have to hedge against it, it's what you can hold if it gets really bad. The other account was from Argentina when it suffered a complete economic colapse. Small items that were within the ability of the general public to afford to barter for were in demand. Some asshole that is having a hard time eating gives a fuck for gold, they wanted items like bic lighters.

Sounds like you've been reading accounts from Selco and Fernando FerFAL Aguirre. Both are excellent, first hand sources of what really goes on when war & economic collapse occurs in modern societies.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 1 point 1 weekMay 9, 2024 11:31:11 ago (+1/-0)

Do they have media channels or websites you know of?

[ - ] Bonanza 3 points 1 weekMay 9, 2024 11:59:56 ago (+3/-0)

Fernando is all over YT, and he has many books available on Amazon. His YT channel is The Modern Survivalist. He frequently has author Matt Braken on as a co host. Selco is all over the Internet as well, just look for "Selco Bosnian War". He also has several books available on Amazon. His content used to be hosted by The Organic Pepper website, not sure if it still is now.

May 5th, 2024.

I don't usually take Jeff too seriously, yet he's not a mainstream source which is far more tolerable and preferable. He's only one I've heard use the term Israhell.

The clip starts around the hour & twenty minute mark.
