You're right, and it isn't even controversial that it's fake. Belief in Christianity shouldn't depend on a water-tight historical case. It's missing the point. Like, "Well, we have a letter from a guy! Now I can justify devoting my entire life and being to God!" Your heart is open to God or it isn't. A thousand letters won't open it.
