pleated jeans LOL. Back in 86 my mother used to rent out spare bedrooms to my friends. Grew up in MA, parents split when I was young, mother was a drunk and needed to make extra $$ to pay the quarterly tax bill, so i'd bring my homeless buddies in and for 50$/wk they had a room. The house basically turned into a non-stop party, 20 kids there every night, the weekends would be 200. Cars up and down the road, cops called by neighbors all the time on the dirt bikes, noise etc. Dave was renting the room across the hall from my room. Anyway, one night my buddy Dave and few other kids decide to hit the combat zone in Boston, basically the seedy part of the city with a few strip joints. They hit a few bars, get hammered & run out of money by 1:00 AM and wanted food, so they pull over to a pizza joint, dave says "wait here. i'll order a pizza and screw back to the car with it." while he's in there, he pulls a fire extinguisher off the wall and puts it on the floor in front of the counter. When the dude working there puts the pizza down, dave acts like he dropped the money, bends down grabs the fire extinguisher and hoses the guy behind the counter, grabs the pizza and screws. The car is all laughs on the drive back toward rt 2, they get to fresh pond near alewife station and get pulled over by a state cop. The cop sees them trying to stuff a pizza box under the seat but doesn't think anything of it, so lets them go, but he had already run the license of the driver (my buddy Tommy). The next day the local cops in town go to Tommy's place and say the Boston cops want to ask him about a pizza robbery the night before, so he rats out dave, but then tips dave off that the cops are looking for him. They were going to charge him with armed robbery, so he loads up his little GMC pickup with everything he owns and drives to FL, had an uncle in Tarpon Springs who had a camper in his yard, so dave makes that his home, starts doing construction down there. I head down a year later to visit, by this time my mother had sold the place and moved to St. Pete Beach, so I figured i'd visit them both. Me and Dave hit a few bars down there (seem to recall one place called the golden nugget in clearwater, I think). I was 19 then, in 88, always had fake id's from 17 on. We end up at this place called the gallery on blind pass rd in st. pete beach. This chick, 28 year old total smoke show picks me up and takes me back to her place, I think I said I was 22 or some shit, lol. Good times back then, my buddy dave was an awesome wingman. I looked him up a while back via web search, saw a mug shot from an arrest in Holiday FL. Looks absofuckinglutely scary these days, like he lost his marbles.. But the 80's were good times (rambling, woke up at 2:30 couldn't get back to sleep so I start reading upgoat LOL)
