Of course windows is spying on you and has been for a hell of a long time. Along with jewgle and every other search engine, network. The gubberment made sure of that. Job security for the nsa
My pwn experience from killing of win11 login, cortana and anything else is that win11 is not sending anything from the box if you use firewall and block edge, disable TPM. I used an external router to scan the traffic.
I understand that some people need to use Windows for various reasons, but I'm increasingly wondering why I bother at all. I've already converted most of my computers to Linux and will convert the last two once Win10 dies.
It would be really great if linux could get to a level where it's usability and productivity and compatibility matched that of windows.
What I'm getting at is that if users could use Linux at work In a corporate environment, hopefully in a better smoother way than Apple does currently, it would really help build its popularity. I guess the downside would be it would get corporatized and maybe become a proprietary work version or distro that could become closed source and eventually just end up a Linux version of windows

It’s also to pirate all software that you use, of course. Imagine paying Microsoft for anything, ever.
