Any Tips to Naturally Treat Excessive Sweating?

submitted by anon to askanon 10 monthsJun 21, 2024 20:26:23 ago (+5/-0)     (askanon)

I have a serious problem with excessive sweating to the point of not being able to walk a full mile without my back getting soaked. I am overweight by about 60lbs and have hyperthyroidism, but I can't enjoy the summer without pouring sweat and it's seriously affecting my life. I've tried deodorant, baby powder, ice cold showers and nothing works. I've had this problem since I was about 14 (in my 40s now) and doctors never did anything for me. I'm at my wits end over this.

DIET is the focus.
Heavy metal and Parasite detox is a must to level the field.
If you can't get that simple 5-8 weeks done you'll never do the rest.
Even googlekike will let you see it cause they know you won't do it

I am overweight by about 60lbs

If I had to carry a 60# backpack everywhere I went, I'd be sweating floods, too.

The fact that you included it, says that you know what to do. So, do it.

If you can afford it get the Mira Dry procedure. It worked for my husband. He was not overweight and very fit but just sweated excessively. I think he paid around 3 k seven years ago and it still works.

Obviously everyone is going to tell you to lose weight. But meanwhile, you should avoid wearing polyester like the plague. Wear pure cotton and flax linen. Focus on eating cooling food in summer. You can go to a chinese medicine practice for more advice.

By the way, sweating is good for you because it removes toxins. Never wear an antiperspirant.

Regular exercise will take care of that for you. Just 15 minutes twice a day. Walk fast enough to elevate your heartbeat above 110. If you can’t do 15 minutes, then do 10 or 5, work your self up to it. If you’ve got the funds get yourself a heart beat monitor, a fitness watch or just get used to taking your pulse. If weather is a problem, get a treadmill. Carry weights as you walk. You don’t need to go fast or be super aggressive, just whatever it takes to elevate that heartbeat. You do that and that extra 60 pounds will be gone in a year.

Try naturally not being overweight and that should naturally fix the problem.

I carry my weight very well and honestly don't look 60lbs overweight - I am slightly chubby but it's evenly distributed all over my body.
My doctor is the one telling me I'm 60lbs overweight - any normal person looking at me would think I'm about 30lbs over. Losing weight in my 40s is extremely difficult and I gained most of it during the lockdowns.
I've always been a 'heavy sweater' so to say, even when I was a teen - I would always wear a backpack to cover up the sweat on my back & sweat stains on my shirts.
It also doesn't help that I live in an area that's very humid in the summer - I've lived in the southwest in the past and could walk around all day without breaking a sweat like I do here right next to Lake Michigan.

60 lbs overweight? Dude, you need to diet and exercise. Cut those portion sizes in half, to start, and get more active. Do daily 30-minute walks (fast walking/powerwalking). I don't recommend jogging or running yet, you'll likely injure yourself.

I carry my weight very well

You're a fat fuck, admit it.

any normal person

"normal" Americans are fat fuck cheeto eaters

Losing weight in my 40s is extremely difficult

No its not. Hit keto for 3 days then don't eat for 5 days. You'll lose 2-3 lb of pure fat per day. Fatass.

Lose weight, eat healthy, work out, sleep well, drop sugar/drugs/alcohol.

Then work out any other issues that persist.

I use to swear really badly, but I take 500mg of magnesium at night and it seems to really help both the perspiration and odor. I highly recommend it. I don’t wear deodorant either.

I like Kirkman brand, but it’s expensive. I think you want to look for magnesium glycinate because it absorbs better than other forms.

How do you know you are hyperthyroid?

[ - ] anon 2922535 [op] 0 points 10 monthsJun 22, 2024 18:06:08 ago (+0/-0)

My mom has hyperthyroidism and is on beta blockers. I've never gotten my thyroid properly checked though.

Sweating can remove toxins from the body, so "excessive sweating" is probly not all that bad.

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 10 monthsJun 21, 2024 20:52:58 ago (+0/-0)

Day 6/21 65°Hi
Night 6/21 50°Lo

California coast. Will soar into the 70s in july, but the average summer high is just 76. Go north of San Francisco if you need it cooler. Sweating is for day laborers, which you are with that load you carry around.

Hmm, hyperthyroidism usually causes weight loss.

Walk in the morning when it is cooler. Wear clothes used in Florida. The most extreme places have the best clothes.

For heat, don't wear socks and shoes, wear Crocs, and wicking shirts, like Patagonia Capilene Daily. Bring ice water with you.

1. Medications: There are several medications available that can help treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). These include anticholinergics, beta blockers, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Your healthcare provider can help determine which medication is best for you..

2 Botox injections: Botox injections can be used to treat excessive sweating by blocking the nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands. This treatment is typically done every 6-8 months and can provide relief for several months at a time.

3. Sweat-absorbing clothing: Wearing clothing made from breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics can help reduce the amount of sweat that reaches your skin. Look for clothing with built-in odor control and moisture-wicking technology.

4. Home remedies: Some people find relief from excessive sweating using home remedies such as apple cider vinegar, baking soda, or cornstarch. Mixing a small amount of these substances with water and applying it to the affected area may help absorb excess moisture.

5. Lifestyle changes: Making lifestyle changes such as avoiding triggers like spicy foods or caffeine, staying cool and dry, and taking regular breaks to cool off can also help reduce sweating.

6. Alternative therapies: Some people find relief from alternative therapies such as acupuncture, hypnosis, or biofeedback. These therapies may help reduce stress and regulate the body's response to stimuli that cause excessive sweating.

7. Surgery: In severe cases of hyperhidrosis, surgical options such as sympathectomy (a procedure that damages the nerve responsible for sweating) or liposuction (to remove excess fat that may be contributing to sweating) may be considered. However, these procedures are typically reserved for cases that are severe and debilitating.

Avoid
Spicy foods: Which can increase heat in the body and worsen symptoms.
Dairy products: Which can increase mucus production and worsen symptoms.
Sugary foods: Which can increase blood sugar levels and worsen symptoms.

Favor
foods: Such as lamb, chicken, and fish.
Cooling foods: Such as cucumber, celery, and mint.
Nourishing foods: Such as brown rice, oats, and sweet potatoes.
