A top-secret US submarine prototype weapon called “Manta Ray” has been spotted by eagle-eyed Google Maps users and remains plainly visible to the internet public.

Satellite photos showing the “Star Wars”-looking vessel docked at Port Hueneme naval base in California went viral Sunday, its unmistakable profile standing out in stark contrast to its dockmates.

They want people to see it. It's probably garbage but they want people to think it's the tits.

could be propaganda, we are in an selection year so who knows right

It's absolutely propaganda. If it wasn't we wouldn't know about it. They didn't parade out the B-2 or the F-117 until after the cold war ended. They didn't acknowledge the SR-71 until it was retired. Those were weapons, this is a flimsy show of force to make people think we have something comparable to Russia's drone subs.

Maybe it's the "Narco Hunter 3000". A man can wish.

Hang out on the bottom of the ocean until a narco sub comes along, then, boom, eat it.

'The only Top Secret toy, that Grumman shares openly via a internet video?

And the TS team leaves in the open at a dock to be photographed on Google Maps. And the diversity team tells the reporter about the TS propulsion system, also using an "efficient, buoyancy-driven gliding to move through the water" all secretly of course.

Well is runs underwater so I hope it is bouyant, someone hopefully drives it and when its not being propelled it should Glide a bit through the water like all water craft-subs.

Seriously, if they were really trying to hide it, they wouldn't put it in an open dock I hope unless the DEI director defined TS the inclusive way so everyone knows.'

What purpose does wings have on a sub?

To direct water-flow over the surface of the craft, changing the direction of said craft.

I don't think it's ever been top secret and certainly isn't top secret now because the Navy made a big reveal with people standing on it as it went through the water. Doesn't seem like there's anything super high tech about it. It just has an interesting shape is all. I frankly think it's a public release to try to make people think the US Navy is not being completely outclassed by the Russian autonomous nuclear powered atomic bombs that are apparently patrolling the ocean as we speak.

Most likely a diver's aid to propel thru the water saving precious dive time air.

Usa can no longer develop advanced technology.

That takes white men and white men have been driven out.

Look at the list of failed usn projects.

F35
Ddx
Cgx
Nimitz replacement.
Lcs
And now the constellation frigate. A basic turn key project.
