That's a man who's given up because things didn't go his way. He clearly has no hope.

He has allowed himself to become hollow. Of hollow men, the future is NOT made.

Never ask me if I'm ready for what's happening now. Never ask if I'm ready for what everybody already knows is coming.

Ask if I have a plan for what comes NEXT. After all that. After the smoke clears and the dust settles, and the bodies are buried.
