No, when he called them "innocent journalists". His "innocent journalists" annotation and the weapons were literally on screen at the same time. The militia support team brought their kids to the battle later in the video, and they had them hidden in the van.
If you remember, they were walking upper right to lower left with the weapons they had just used in the attack. And yes, there was a guy with them holding a camera.
