I thought you had to have some sort of "fame" to qualify for a blue checkmark. Shows how out of the loop I am with social media. Isn't the purpose of the checkmark to verify that it's the real person using that account? I can make an account named Donald Trump and pretend to be him, but the lack of that checkmark would be the first giveaway that it's a fake account.
