I am very happy for this woman and her family, but when I saw this video I wondered what her rent was that $1,000 would cover baby costs, food, rent, etc. I feel like she might be missing some important things, but I respect her reasonable estimates, even if they're wrong. (Better to be wrong in hoping low, than unreasonable hoping high.)

Bless her. She may live in a place like Arkansas or W. Virginia where $40K can let you survive.

My base salary here is only about $56K and it would be impossible in NYC. Luckily for me, I paid off the mortgage to my little apartment 13 years ago, so my housing expenses are very low, but it is still tight. I depend on OT and a PT job to bring my salary to about $75K to live a bit more comfortably.

You'll see a lot of dudes in/just outside their garages fixing stuff, building stuff, and generally doing it themselves. I see it every day on my dog walks.

And generally in a town you're buying a house, with a little land, not an apartment. Which means you can work on it and make it better over time.

Currently at anywhere from 6k to 9k a week. Fucked off till I was in my 40s and now getting my shit together. Tell you this, in 2024 you cannot live a lifestyle of cash only and be successful.

Only have 9800 a month in revolving credit spread over 8 cards. Sure I can get loans up to whatever and pay 35.99 interest, but better cc isn't gonna happen yet.

Secured cards are a joke by the way with all their fees and fuckery.

Now your so-called, quote, unquote, "credit score", is just a measure of how much monthly debt the bank thinks they can keep you weighed down with and and still keep you making the minimum monthly payments until you die and they can recover the balance from whatever remains of your estate.

It's a measure of how much wool they can sheer from the sheep without killing it. It's a ticket to life-long debt slavery to jews.

Debt is like thermonuclear war. The only way to win is not to play. The only winning move is not to start.

I don't even know what my "credit score" is today, and I don't care.
