...I'm sitting with 2 of my favorite bears...1 has her paw on my foot and is blocking me from standing up and the other one is on my right side slobbering all over the arm rest of my chair...I've got about 800lbs of fur and muscle in front and side of me, I feel safe and well protected.

And I've got a mama with 2 cubs out back in the bush line.

Why can't the world be this simple?

Yes, a son and daughter, 41 & 44, had both of them financially comfortable and I haven't heard from them in 8years, grandkids too...so I wiped them from my slate...believe me, I think about my kids every time I'm with my bears, (every day) but I never want them back in my life again...I don't handle betrayal very well, family or otherwise...if one of these bears ever betrayed me, or my wife, I'd kill it in a New York second, but in my 20years with bears I've never seen it in them to betray me. There's something to be said about life when a bear trusts you, I don't know what it is but it's something that makes me feel different.

I have a hard time imagining a situation where I would completely write off my children. They are still youngish tho (20 and under).
