'Elephant in the room' and 'nigger in the woodpile' are not remotely the same fucking thing.

I only recently heard that term maybe a year or two ago, which is wild because I really pride myself on my deep knowledge and understanding of slurs and racist idioms.

In some places the phrase, "nigger in the woodpile" means that a person has a nigger somewhere along the line in their ancestry.
I never use that phrase!
