I doubt they're rattled. It's simply a response to more goys knowing. Think of a sheep dog seeing some of the sheep breaking off to the side. The dog doesn't get rattled, it just runs over to head them off so they end up going in the desired direction.

Remember they need to be hated, because it's crucial to their group identity as the chosen. Plus, anti-semitism is the basis for their special treatment and laws specifically designed to protect and reward them. The "Whatcha doing, rabbi?" meme is about them being forced to fake it when there's a shortage.

There would obviously be an optimum level of anti-semitism undercurrents, and they would adjust accordingly so it wouldn't become the general sentiment.
