The All-Ireland Hurling final was today between Clare and Cork. Hurling is the greatest game in the world so thought I’d share the highlights of the game here.
Scoring system - 1 point for between the posts and over the bar, a goal is worth 3 points (between the posts and under the bar, into the net)
Also, none of these lads get paid a penny for this. They play only for the glory of their parish and their county. You will see this reflected in the skin tone of the players!
Even as we watch this, jews are out there right now, scheming and planning how they can inject money and niggers into this and ruin it, just like NASCAR and hockey.

It can’t really work though. There’s nothing stopping anyone playing the game, but the rewards are only the glory of representing your parish, and if you’re really good representing your county like the lads today. Financial pressure isn’t really a thing in our games cos they’re all amateur by rule, so nobody who matters actually loses out even if GAA finances do come under pressure.

All Ireland final. Could probably have filled that place 5 times over today easily enough. People like me who would’ve loved to be there today don’t even look for tickets cos my county wasn’t involved and I wouldn’t deny a ticket to someone whose county made it.
I think that’s also the biggest stadium in the world for exclusively amateur sports. US college football have bigger stadia and are amateur, but the sport itself isn’t amateur. (We don’t have many records in Ireland, so we do sometimes get a bit technical to claim some!)
No offense, but this literally a game I play with my dog. I'll admit I do enjoy using the hurler to throw the ball. My shoulders are shot and that handy tool lets me throw like I was a teenager again. The pup loves your "sport"
Gaelic games are amateur by rule. The money all goes back into the organisation. Pretty much every parish in Ireland has a GAA club, so there’s over 2200 clubs all of which need facilities which need to paid for and maintained. It’s all run on volunteerism. Tbf there are under the table payments, but because it’s amateur by rule that needs to be done discreetly or teams can get suspensions etc.
I see lacrosse players! I'm not sure I like the paddle thing but watching athletes playing a sport they love is fun. I'm down to following only college lacrosse now and a little MLB. I'd give it a go but I only see myself flying to Ireland to support my team, drinking too much and getting into a fight.
