The ISS is roughly the same size as a Boeing 747. Airplanes typically fly about a mile above the surface. Mile high club and all. The ISS is supposedly orbiting the Earth 250 miles away. You're telling me that the ISS looks 250 times smaller than the airplane? Lol.

You're not understanding that both of the pictures in my link have the moon in it. This is a frame of reference. You can overlap one of the images and make it to where the Moon is the same size in both images. Then you could compare the sizes and see that the ISS is absolutely not 250 times smaller than the airplane.

Is it? why dont you use real numbers then and blow up the moon with the plane pic to be equal size - then the real question becomes "is the aeroplane 45x larger than the ISS?" (assuming your measurements are correct). Im trying to have an open mind here but you are massively stacking the deck in favor of your conclusion

I do. Not all planes fly at the same height. The margin on difference is negligible.

Look Mcfaggyflat, Passenger jets cruising altitude is 30,000 feet - meaning unless you are photographing right by an airport, chances are that the height of the plane being photographed is 30,000 feet. Here, I fixed the ratios and overlaid your moon photos for you and even rotated it so the moon geography matches.

Does the ISS look 45x smaller than the plane now? No, not really. But there are other variables that need to be taken into account like angle of the object photographed, shadows, etc. And does an object 45x farther away in a photograph always appear exactly 45x smaller no matter the distance? Seems a reasonable assumption but fuck if it know. Its clearly not as cut and dried as you would have us believe those. At least now you can present an unjewed honest distance ratio and photograph with your pitch. You're welcome.
