A friend of mine owns one. He’s a cheap ass millionaire who can afford anything he wants. He was talking about how much money he’s saved in gas and how great his Tesla is. I asked how much his electric bills have gone up……
“I go to Tesla charging stations as much as I can. Like for example, when I go to my property I stop halfway through the trip to recharge.”
“Ok, so how long do you have to wait to get an available station and how long do you have to wait for it to charge to an acceptable amount?”
“Well, the whole process takes less than a couple hours.” His property is less than 4 hours away 😂
He could feel the judgment in my eyes and saw my grin; his face started turning red….
Help your friend out a bit and tell the retard to have a solar system capable of charging it installed in his garage/roof(batteries in garage, panels on roof). That way he can gloat more and at least save his much more valuable time.
If he does it right, and he might not, it'll provide power in SHTF situations. Or just normal blackouts. Saves electrical money over time, to appeal to his cheapassedness(you don't get rich spending like a drunk sailor after all).

The way i have heard it, is Depending where one lives allegedly all residential solar power supply has to be connected to the main grid to 'sell back energy' - and in a true SHTF - it gets turned off if the main electraical supply is damaged or suffering outage - it's insane - rather than having a property able to function alone - unless you live way out in the boondocks or have an ability to switch out from the main grid.

Nah you're the retard - our extended family has residential solar and found out the hard way during an extended 5-7 day power outage.
So Nope, incorrect. Most US residential solar power set ups are Grid-tiered systems that automatically shut down in an outage. You're meaning an 'Off grid system' that are much more expensive because they have to utilize solar batteries, for storage and use at night and during low sun/ solar-light hours.
'Solar batteries are not cheap. A basic battery setup will cost anywhere from $21,000 to $46,000+. This will provide enough storage to power small, lightly used loads during an outage (for example, a well pump, 2 freezers, and (4) 13W light bulbs). A more advanced system that has the potential for whole-home backup will cost over $85,000. That is why off grid systems typically predominate in remote/ lone locations.
EDIT: Lol, at your downvote. what an idiot. Typical numpty thinks all things are equal regardless of context. - You are conflating two entirely different systems of solar. Overwhelming solar use is 'grid tiered' and do not require batteries but are also shut down with power mains outage, the 'off grid' systems are vastly more expensive and enable complete separation - by regulation you either require one or the other, you can not by law have an 'off grid' system without batteries and still connect to the mains during normal/ day night usage .
All states allow off-grid living. There are building codes and zoning restrictions particular to your state/county/city/zone/hoa though. If his stupid friend hires someone to do it, they'll know what needs done to make it legal.
Even though I had it in quotes, no, it’s not my real name. The parents hating me may be questionable, though. They’re republicucks and I keep pushing the j-pill on them—they probably can’t stand me.

Yea, just not in a city or suburban residential area, and then if you do meet all the 'regulations' they will charge you for the pleasure.

Can you close the trunk if the wind is blowing against the lid, and creating resistance?
