This isn't an age problem, it's a parental culture problem.
We have a huge mass of pieces of fucking shit in this nation that firmly believes that it's entitled to the labor of others. And why wouldn't they? It's worked out so well for them so far.
56% of my income goes toward some form of taxation or expense related to me being able to provide that labor for taxation.
It's probably a little bit higher but this was as accurate as I could calculate over a frenzied 3 day period in 2006.
It barely makes sense to work anymore. BARELY. Meanwhile niggers, spics, chinks and white trash keep voting for moar gibs.
no it is an age thing. You can't learn this stuff by your parents telling you. You won't really believe it. And you'll think that you know better than your parents or your parents are old-fashioned or this that or the other.
You don't know personally that politicians lie. You don't really understand it until the politicians that you believed in you find out lied for four years and you begin to see what matters and what doesn't. And your parents can't tell you that. you have to experience it to get the subtleties of it and to fully believe it.
Women and children should have no say in how a country handles it's affairs. Only land owners should be allowed to vote. If you aren't invested in a thing, you should have no right to decide how it operates. Imagine demanding to vote for more dividend payouts in a stockholders meeting of a company you've never bought stock in. You'd be escorted out of the building immediately
They voting age was reduced from 21 to 18 in 1972, before the general election. It was publicized in the media as "The Power of 18" and rationalized by the fact that 18 year olds could be drafted by couldn't vote. I wasn't able to vote then, but I knew enough stupid 18 year olds and had a good idea of what a bad idea it was. I think the Democratic party was counting on a mass of politically active 18 year olds who would vote for McGovern, but it turned into one of the greatest political landslides ever seen benefiting Nixon. I don't think the Democrats were aware that 18 years olds who favored McGovern in 1972 were self-centered, unemployed, apathetic, and often high who couldn't give a shit about the election. I don't think 18 year olds have changed much since then.
Well in the modern economy you don't really want to be tied to a piece of dirt in a specific place but I would modify that and say only people with positive net worths should be able to vote. If you're completely underwater in debt you're so clueless about how to live life that you do not understand enough to vote.
