NASA’s LRO Observes Chandrayaan-3 Landing Site

The ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) Chandrayaan-3 touched down on the Moon on Aug. 23, 2023. The Chandrayaan-3 landing site is located about 600 kilometers from the Moon’s South Pole.

How do GPS triangulate a position fix on an aircraft 50,000 feet above the ground? Complete with an altitude fix.

Explain how that's done.

First in order to get a satellite into orbit, it must bypass a physical barrier that contains Earths gas pressure. Can you showcase gas pressure without a physical barrier? If you can't then how can you possibly believe GPS is triangulating a satellite in the vacuum of space?

I was asking how you think GPS works in your flat earth world.

And yes, explaining how "earth's gas pressure" is being contained without a physical barrier is easy. Although, people who think the earth is "pressurized" are usually too fuckin' dumb to chew gum and walk. Are you that fuckin' dumb?

How about answering my question, first, though?

Ground Position Systems. Radio towers and balloons mate.

Well go ahead and defy the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

Are you?

I did so how about you brush up on the laws of thermodynamics and maybe re-teach yourself a bit about Earths gas pressure.

Ground Position Systems. Radio towers and balloons mate.

Radio towers can't triangulate a fix on aircraft at 50,000 feet. I guess ballons can. Is that what you're going with, now?

What is the 2nd law of thermodynamics? In your own words. Feel free to use equations.

My education is engineering, so I can follow along. So, 2nd law of thermodynamics. Go on. Explain how this proves the earth is pressurized or why it proves that there must be a barrier. In your own words, please.

Check my post history, I've brought up the use of balloons for 2 years now.

Great. So, how accurate are these GPS systems that use radio towers and balloons?

A high pressure system, like the one we experience on earth

Do you acknowledge that atmospheric pressure decreases as you increase altitude? Do you acknowledge that this decrease is nearly linear?

How do you explain this phenomenon? And, what is the lower boundary of this pressure decline? How low does the pressure get as you go up?

[ - ] GetFuckedCunt [op] 6 points 8 monthsAug 8, 2024 07:55:46 ago (+7/-1)

Do you acknowledge that atmospheric pressure decreases as you increase altitude? Do you acknowledge that this decrease is nearly linear?

Yes it is called a density gradient. All gasses are created at ground level and rise until they reach this "linear" equilibrium density layer.

How do you explain this phenomenon?

How do you have gas pressure without a physical container? Every single experiment to showcase gas pressure REQUIRES a physical barrier.

Your an engineer, create a pressurized system without a physical barrier.

That didn't answer my question.

Again, how accurate are these GPS systems that use radio towers and balloons?

Lol. How does your cell phone work?

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 06:50:04 ago (+0/-0)

At 50000 feet? It doesn't.

[ - ] McNasty 0 points 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:17:38 ago (+1/-1)

Triangulation positioning cannot happen on his feared dummy. Cell phone towers do it all the time.

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:19:28 ago (+0/-0)

Not at 50,000 feet they don't. Nor does the equipment that does do that have cellular equipment or a transmitter of any kind.

But tell me,

[ - ] McNasty 1 point 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:27:59 ago (+2/-1)

What you're saying is irrelevant. I'm telling you the chimney's not attached to the building and you're telling me about some eyewitness testimony of masturbation machines.

That's the equivalent.

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:34:04 ago (+0/-0)

It's not irrelevant.

You said people use towers to get their GPS coordinates. And, that's plausible until you consider the people that get their exact 3d fix, including altitude, when they are at 50,000 feet.

While people might be able to get 2 dimensional GPS triangulation data from towers, 3 dimensional positioning isn't possible at altitudes of tens of thousands of feet.

For that, you'd need satellites in orbit. Maybe tethered balloons at high altitude could do it, but only because the earth is a sphere. That's how triangulation works to give you a 3 dimensional positioning versus a 2 dimensional position.

[ - ] McNasty 1 point 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:38:18 ago (+2/-1)

towers to get their GPS coordinates.

Yes. I posted the article explaining several times but your disingenuous ass will ignore it every time.

Cell phones connect with a tower first, it uses the tower to communicate with the satellite. It's retarded and redundant.

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:42:08 ago (+0/-0)

The same article the says your cell phone will receive info from GPS satellites if the cell phone cannot connect to a tower, and that the phones do this because the towers accuracy is better than the ones from a satellites because of the antenna used.

GPS satellites exist, according to your own source.

Also, you seem to be ignoring the 3 dimensional issue.

Why is that?

[ - ] McNasty 1 point 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:46:14 ago (+2/-1)

satellites if the cell phone cannot connect to a tower,

IF. Key word IF. And the article gos on to state that this rarely happens.

Now the problem is that triangulation positioning with towers should never be possible on a ball.

[ - ] McNasty 1 point 8 monthsAug 9, 2024 09:34:50 ago (+2/-1)
