I have a pair of red wings (American made ones) that have been mostly pretty good. Not quite as water proof as I had hoped, but they definitely stand the test of both time and abuse. The biggest thing for me is comfort; need light weight, plenty of cushion, but durable. Do you have experience with these or just cut and paste from their web site

I had some that I really liked, lasted several years using them from -40 to around 100 degree weather. Won't say they were lightweight, but they were damn comfortable.
I don't have specific experience with their products, As a matter of fact, I amended the sub intro a few moments ago, to specifically say that I have no relationships with any of these companies, and that the buyer needs to do their homework. Evaluate these boots as you would any other company product.
Workbooks are for youngsters. Once you’ve worn these uncomfortable piles of shit for three decades, you retire to high tops or some other shoe you prefer, such as DCs or Etnies, or if you’re older, New Balance, but work boots all suck ass.
I had some Rocky boots and was disappointed by them. Maybe these would be better. I love the leather soles on western boots but they wear out so darn easy. Ariat fixed that but it is owned by a bunch of women from Reebok.
Check the warranty and the return policy. I DO NOT endorse any of the products that I post. I simply recommend American made items, as an alternative to the shit we're force-fed from China!
