Think about it, what entitled actually means. It means to be someone given a title. It's supposed to be the same as "privileged" but specifically by having received a title. I'd believe a title I gave myself as much as any title the system would give to another. Like officer or congressman. That's as bullshit as anything I could make up for myself.
Not that I go around giving myself titles anyway. But it's just as fine if I were self entitled as another were system entitled. Maybe the self entitled person is more worth taking seriously. Someone who calls themselves king of town is maybe less dangerous than someone the system has already given its approval to.
A proper title means something. Like the landowner of a large area, or a knight of the realm, or the boss/foreman/whatever. Generally, your title is recognized either by a trusted institution, a government (local or not), by the people at large, or just the one's you are in charge of.
Self entitled is generally someone who gives themselves unearned, and unrecognized titles. You can entitle yourself if you have the stuff to back it up, and work your way into it being recognized. But if you can't even back it up, such as saying you're the duke of some land that you don't even own, it's not going to work very well for you.
I assume it started with a pride check, puffed up pride not faggot pride. I agree that either the self title fits and people accept it or it’s wrong and doesn’t stick. Nothing inherently right or wrong about “self titled” entitled. I’m better then you because I say so and without merit (((jews and golems))) is an issue however
