Aren't they custom made to fit? Flight suits for fighter pilots definitely are. So even if the Boeing suits are compatible with crew dragons life support system, which it's probably not, they can't just grab a spare suit off the rack.
They are. They have to be. There are no 'average' suits when making something like this when a single crease in the wrong spot can kill you.
Though you could just use an emergency bubble and have one pilot go up and bring them back down. Have a few of them on board for emergencies and you should be good. It isn't like they have to actually go through space to board, they use the airlock.
Of course modern NASA is incredibly cowardly and really doesn't want to lose an astro-propagandist.
