Seven years... We've been doing the Friday Night Guitar Thread for seven years. Our 7th anniversary was on the 20th of this month. Yeah... Imagine that... We've been at this for a long time and will keep on trucking well into the future. Come join us to celebrate!

Who did that who did it originally? I'm not sure if that's a Twain song or not. I would look it up first if I were you.

Orleans did the song back in the 70s. The Twain song was something different, I think... Her song was "Your Still The One" and not "Still The One".

Hello and welcome to a very special Friday Night Guitar Thread. Like normal, we'll get you started.

So, what can I say? This thread's origins began with a simple question about where I could share my work. It grew into the thread you know today. It's a thread with some serious staying power. We've been at this for a long time and with great consistency - across multiple sites.

Seven years... We've done this for seven damned years. That's a long time!

Anyhow... Not to toot my own horn too much, but I can melt your face with the guitar and that's all I do in this week's piece.

I just listened to this again, like four times in a row, and fuck, man, this is so fucking good. You know I love all your songs, and I dont know if you know this but the FNGT Theme song has been my favorite of yours since you shared that with us, and the finger aflame, oh man I love that, and all of them are heard in my world fairly regularly. This one man, this might actually supplant the FNGT Theme song as the pinnacle of achievement. Holy fuck dude, You are doing things that are seemingly impossible for a mere human to accomplish, like me or my friends. We make music and have fun and we get butts to wiggle and pull emotions out of people and you know, the things music can do. But we can not do what you did here. It is truly an incredible accomplishment. I thank you so much for sharing this with me. This is going to be heard hundreds of thousands of times around my world, I can promise you that. Thank you so much. I love it!

The FNGT Theme Song is still probably one of my favorites.

I got up to refresh my drink last night. On the way back to the computer I sat down in living room for a minute. I fell asleep. I hadn't smoked much weed lately. I woke up like two hours later and went upstairs.

Anyhow, I'm glad you like it. I figured you would. It's pretty much just a very long bitchin' solo. You can't really go wrong with that, so long as you know what you're doing.

LOL It's probably about a grand to tow it yourself and a little more to have someone else tow it for you.

So, that's not realistic - but I'd let you use my garage. I have all the tools. If you need a special tool, we can make it. I hate buying tools that only serve a single purpose. We've got the know-how and equipment to make any requisite tools.

But, yeah, it'd be costly to tow it here yourself. It's only slightly cheaper than paying someone to tow it for you. You can find people who ship cars with just a regular trailer and their beat to shit old Ford F250. They don't have insurance or anything like that. But, they'll be about a grand - maybe a bit more. If you go the UHaul route it'd be about the same price.

I have a 30' row of Snap-On tool chests and a half dozen smaller boxes. I have all the tools - or the ability to make a tool do the job.

I got a response from Carl from the message I sent to him Friday night. He says he is sorry he did not see the message sooner, as he is dealing with deaths in his family. He says he is going to try to participate in the near future, and he thanked me for reaching out, he said he appreciated it.
