Bill McClintock is the gold standard of mashups. No one else even comes close.

The dudes at Wax Audio aren't bad either.

I am not sure that Wax Audio is still active. I haven't checked him out in a few years.

dont suppose you lot know of anyone that at least was at one stage on youtube, who did parody songs using footage from videoclips etc, but changing what was 'sung' to match what was coming out of the lips, and completely changing the music to really well done intentionally bad music? There was a 'Bohemian Rhapsody' cover, but the one that i need to find again was a cover of Focus - Hocus Pocus - NBC Midnight Train

Original vid is weird enough because the singer yodels and whistles and shit in between bars, and the way they changed it to him randomly panting huffing and screaming at the mic was one of the funniest fucking things ive seen, and for the life of me i cant find it or remember who made it.

I've never heard of them. I will certainly check them out.

no! er. dont think so. these guys dont have any known party or drug stories around them. for this vid the story goes - its a 6 minute song, and is (was) their number one hit, and why they were brought on this show. they were told they had 4 and a half minutes.

"Hold my beer" - Thys Van Leer

They literally played a song thats already pretty quick, about an extra quarter quicker than they normally would to fit it in the broadcast limit.

PS. Still going too. Guitarist (Jan Akkerman) quit just after this album, but the drummer Pierre Van Der Linden is still with Thijs and better than he was back then.

That turned out way better than i had imagined when the song started. Nice, man. Thanks for sharing the rabbit hole!

Yeah buddy!

Mr. McClintock breathes new life into so many old hits. Nearly each one is a legit song in it's own right, and better than the originals.
